All ages invited to learn more about Omaha-area opportunities available this summer
Together, we build a better city! Omaha Public Library and City of Omaha Parks & Recreation invite all Omaha residents to a free Resource Expo on Tuesday, May 9, 5-7 p.m. at Elmwood Park, 802 S. 60th St. Learn about activities and programs throughout the City of Omaha from various departments. Representatives will be on-hand to offer information and showcase services. Participants will learn more about how city services work together to help build a better city for everyone.
“It takes every city department working together to create an amazing community. Assembling Omaha city departments in one place to showcase their resources for the first time is exciting! We hope Omahans come out to learn and see firsthand what many departments do and enjoy an evening in the park,” said Omaha Parks & Recreation Director Brook Bench.
Omaha Public Library Executive Director Laura Marlane feels the event provides Omaha residents with a great opportunity to learn more about how to spend their summer. “City departments will be sharing information about the many programs, events and activities being offered to Omaha and Douglas County residents throughout the summer. There are so many wonderful experiences to take advantage of in our community!”
Omaha city departments participating in this event include Human Resources, Fire, Library, Parks, Police and Public Works. Various city vehicles will be on site for children to explore in addition to bounce houses, a rock wall, inflatable golf, and a lot of information!
