Daddy’s Neighborhood Fresh Market will bring more awareness to the local food movement, make grocery delivery more efficient, expand the number of local farm fresh produce and meat offered in the store, and open a local, all natural ice cream and frozen yogurt shop with the support of their new crowd funding campaign. On March 3rd, Daddy’s will launch a Barnraiser campaign in hopes of raising $30,000 for a delivery van, refrigerated trailer, and funds to open the local, GrassFed dairy ice cream and frozen yogurt shop next door, between Pear Tree Performing Arts and Daddy’s Fresh Market on the corner of 48th and Northwest Radial Highway in Benson.
“We decided to go with a crowd funding campaign to support new offerings to the community,” said owner Lawrence Butler. “Our supporters will have a real connection to the store, the ice cream, frozen yogurt, the farmers we currently work with and those new relationships we will make by bringing more attention to our local farmers.”
Barnraiser is one of many crowdfunding companies. Barnraiser focuses on powering food movements and helping local businesses and farms raise funds to support farm to table endeavors. Daddy’s hopes the simplicity of crowfunding and the response to the quaint business, located at 4811 Northwest Radial Highway, will be a success. “ We want to get as many local producers selling their goods here and we are excited to bring some out-of-this-world ice cream and frozen yogurt treats to the area.” Supporters can donate at http://bit.ly/1vPSPIl or visit www.daddysneighborhoodfreshmarket.com for more information.
